Health walks are a great way to start being active and healthy, and everyone can do it, whatever your age. And it’s free. Enjoy Bristol’s great outdoors and walk with us. Walk for Health is designed to encourage people of all ages to walk further, more briskly and more often, to gain health benefits.
What is Walking for Health Bristol?
Walk for Health Bristol is an initiative which supports Bristol’s diverse communities to become more active through walking.

Walking is the most accessible form of physical activity with many physical and mental health benefits. It’s also a great way of getting to know your local neighbourhood and making new friends.
Who can get involved?
Anyone of any ability wanting to get more physically active in a safe, enjoyable way.
Health and community organisations wishing to develop their own walking initiative for clients or staff
Health Walks grade:
1; Less than 1 mile
2; 1 to 2 miles
3; 2 to 3 miles
LW = Leisure Walks: These are longer walks of 3 - 5 miles and are suitable for more experienced walkers.
