The Family Information Service holds information on all the OFSTED registered childcare, early years and play opportunities across Bath and North East Somerset. This includes childminders, pre-schools, play groups, nurseries and out of school clubs.

Family Information Service (FIS) also provides information on other groups such as parent and toddler groups and sports clubs or organisations that provide support to parents and carers. Details can be found on our website:

Information is also available to anyone interested in working with children, young people and families. Pease visit: FIS can also provide information on support offered to disabled children and children with additional needs and their families.

A brokerage service (by referral) is available to parents who have difficulties in accessing appropriate childcare.

Information and Advice can be offered to look your entitlement to welfare benefits, tax credits, free school meals etc. and help with completion of claim forms. We can also support access to debt and housing advice and link you to other relevant supporting organisations.
