The Urgent Care Centre, (previously South Bristol Walk in Centre) offers a confidential service for adults and children and is open 8:00-20:00, 7 days a week and no appointment is necessary. The centre offers the following services:
* Treatment of minor injuries and illnesses
* Chlamydia testing
* Free emergency contraception
* Advice on how to stay healthy
* Information on other local NHS services.
* X-rays and other diagnostic tests
They also provide screening services such as blood pressure checking and can take blood samples should GPs request this. They are not there to replace the GP service but to provide an easy-access healthcare service for all.
