Learning Partnership West (LPW) aims to give young people the best start in life by helping them to make the transition to adult working life. It gives them single point access to advice and/or support on all the issues that may affect them from housing, health matters, drug abuse and relationships, money matters and careers information including further education & training as well as work opportunities. LPW supports young people (13-19). This can be extended up to the age of 25 for clients with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. LPW brings together the agencies and organisations that support young people including the youth service, social services and voluntary sector into one joined up service. All young people have access to a Personal Adviser.
As well as working with young people through the LPW Service, LPW helps adults to access Information, Advice and Guidance on all career matters. The service can include one-to-one careers guidance interviews to assess skills, qualities and experience and look at new options for employment.
