Learning Partnership West (LPW) aims to give young people (13-19), the best start in life by helping them to make a successful transition to adult life. It gives them single point access to support on all the issues that may affect them from housing, health matters, drug abuse and relationships, money matters and careers information including further education training as well as work opportunities. LPW aims to bring together the agencies and organisations that support young people including the youth service, social services and voluntary sector into one joined up service. All young people have access to a Personal Adviser.
The service can include one-to-one careers guidance interviews to assess skills, qualities and experience and look at new options for employment. Advice on funding and finding the right course or learning opportunity as available through the Learner Helpline.
