ACTA is a charity committed to helping people create their own theatre. They target areas with poor arts facilities and those sections of the community who experience discrimination and/or disadvantage. They work with all ages and abilities helping participants to create, devise and produce shows. ACTA has a history of commitment to working with people with learning difficulties, and with disabled people.
Offices are accessible, venues for rehearsal workshops and performances are accessible to participants and audiences.
Their vision for the building is that it becomes a beacon of excellence for community and participatory arts – locally, regionally and nationally.
