It is a membership organisation and works with and for around 57,000 foster carers throughout the UK, as well as fostering service members and local foster care associations.
As the UK’s voice of foster care they work with their members in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to share knowledge and best practice, promote fostering and campaign for positive changes in foster care at the highest level.

They provide information on issues such as concerns about a child's future, allegations and complaints, changes in legislation and financial matters. They are also able to advise you on how to take the next step in dealing with any fostering issue and how to access other useful services and support.
