Set up by parents of Fragile X children, the Society provides support and information for families affected by Fragile X from those who share and understand their concerns and needs. They educate and advise the public and professional people about the prevalence and nature of Fragile X, in order to raise awareness and understanding of the syndrome, and to improve the care of all affected people. They encourage research into all aspects of the syndrome and publicise the results. Family membership is free.
Provides a helpline for Fragile X families who contact the Society and supplies information about Fragile X. Organises family conferences, publishes newsletters, booklets, papers, DVD, and conference reports.
