Williams Syndrome is a rare disorder. Like Down's Syndrome it is caused by an abnormality in chromosomes, and shows a wide variation in ability from person to person. Williams People have a unique pattern of emotional, physical and mental strengths and weaknesses.
The Foundation provides information and guidance for parents, teachers, medical professionals and employers. Free publications are available by post, phone or through their website.
There are Regional Contacts around the country who are all parents of a Williams Syndrome child. They keep in touch with local families, visit new contacts, arrange meetings and organise fund-raising events.
