Men's Health Manifesto
In the UK, one man in five dies before he reaches 65. We can change that. The Men's Health Manifesto sets out the changes needed to tackle the high rate of premature deaths in men. Click here to view the Men's Health Manifesto website.
The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs. To date, 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide, but we won't stop growing as long as serious men’s health issues exist. Click here to view the Movember website.
Alcohol Concern’s Dry January is an annual campaign where people are challenged to give up alcohol for the 31 days of January. Click here to view the Dry January website.
Mental Health Awareness Week
For one week each May, the Mental Health Foundation campaigns around a specific theme and in 2017 we are talking about living with change. Innately all of us seek some form of comfort in structure and routine. Change - although often positive in the long term - disrupts this and can impact on our mental health. By focusing on change we will be looking at life’s pressure points: the crucial times of transition from one life stage to another when we can all experience adversity from becoming a parent, to going to school then perhaps university, dealing with change in the workplace and, of course, change that comes towards the end of life. Mental Health Awareness Week 2017 will take place from 8-14 May. For further information please click here.
Men's Health Week
Men's Health Week 2017 will take place between 12-18 June across England and Wales. If your project/group are keen on running activities during the week and would like them promoted locally through websites, e-bulletins and radio coverage, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
