Wellbeing – Run and Talk,
Do you find the onset of the winter months, Christmas time or the long dark evenings add to your anxiety or stress or generally lower your mood? Does working from home leave you feeling isolated?
Research suggests gentle running can help lift your spirits and mood. Getting started, and keeping going, can be challenging at times, so South Gloucestershire Council’s SportsPound/ Active in Life team have organised FREE taster sessions at Page Park in Staple Hill.
These begin on Wednesday 5th December at 2pm and run right through the Christmas holidays into the New Year. There will be a Mental Health Ambassador at the events and an opportunity to enjoy a social chat and a hot drink afterwards at the Bean Tree cafe.
How do I enrol on the session?
Ideally complete the process on the Eventbrite page, but you won’t get turned away if you just turn up!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is free parking around the park It is also close to the Bristol to Bath Railway path / National Cycle Network Route 4. The area is serviced by local bus routes.
