This list has been gathered by the Ways to Wellbeing team who provide a free and confidential social prescribing service to anyone over the age of 18, living in the greater Fishponds area of Bristol. Arts and Crafts

Bake a Smile Project – Make a drawstring bag for NHS staff to put their uniforms at the end of shift to enable them to get them home for washing safely. The completed bags will be collected from you.

Assistance

ACORN – A volunteer organisation which supports people in the community to access shopping, medication, post and anything else they can’t access from home.

Can Do (Bristol) – Volunteer to help Bristol City Council in supporting vulnerable people during the Coronavirus crisis. Various roles available such as picking up and delivering food and medicine and making phone calls to vulnerable people. Extremely Vulnerable Register – Bristol City Council register for those that are extremely vulnerable during the Coronavirus crisis. Let them also know if you need immediate help with food parcels.

Good Gym – Support for vunerable people during the Covid outbreak. Their volunteers can help by collecting prescriptions, gardening, moving furnture, changing lightbulbs and anything else you need assistance with.

Mutual Aid Facebook (Bristol) – A Facebook group that links you to volunteers in your area that can then help you access things you are unable to get from home.

Audible – A selection of Audiobooks for all ages. This is a free service once you register but a paid subscription service is also available to be able to access a bigger library.

Bristol Libraries Audiobook Club – ‘Join the audiobook club where each month a book is selected for you to either read or listen to and then it is discussed via a live chat with others in the group.

Libraries West – ‘Access the online Bristol library catalogue including eBooks, audiobooks and magazines.
