Cambrian Green Day Services is a Dementia Day  Care Centre in Yate off Wellington Road. It has the capacity to help 30 people a day, initially on a once weekly basis.

Who is the service for?
We support adults living in South Gloucestershire who have a diagnosis of dementia
to develop and achieve realistic outcomes, for example to sustain life long skills and
enjoy social opportunities whilst maintaining a level of independence through
meaningful occupation

The Centre was designed having considered the views of people living with dementia & their carers who use the facility. It provides a stimulating and supportive environment with facilities which are able to support varying levels of need for people in South Gloucestershire who live with Dementia and their Carers.

Cambrian Green aims to:
• Help adults who live with Dementia to develop and achieve realistic outcomes e.g. sustain lifelong skills, enjoy social situations and maintain a level of independence through meaningful occupation.
• Facilitate social interaction: To give people who are socially isolated the opportunity to meet other people in their local community.
• Provide day breaks for Carers: To give Carers the opportunity to pursue their own activities and have quality time for themselves.
• Provides activities that stimulate and give the service users fun and enjoyment to improve their quality of life.

All the above are supported and delivered by a staff team who recognise the importance of person centred and relationship care and inclusion, ensuring that the life skills, life history, previous careers, jobs, hobbies and interests are incorporated into the activities available and enjoyed by all who attend.

How can I access Cambrian Green Day Service?
We have a leaflet called General Information about Adult Social Care (CCH122) which will give you details about assessments , how to access our services, how much it will cost and who will pay.
We will need to talk with you and find out what support you need (this is an assessment) before we will know if the Promoting Opportunities at Cambrian Green Day Services is suitable for you as part of your overall support plan.
