Note to Editors: It appears that Patient Concern do not exist in any official capacity. We have had a number of calls regarding the ‘group’ and from what we’ve looked at it appears that beyond Joyce Robins using the name to make comment on NHS issues they exist only as a website (www.patientconcern.org.uk) that sells medication registered through a .nl domain registrar. The only contact details we have are the details below and this email address: joyceconcern@hotmail.com

An alternative group that would likely be more suitable commentators are the Patient’s Association https://www.patients-association.org.uk/

Patient Concern is an organisation committed to promoting choice and empowerment for all health service users.

The core principle is complete consumer independence. Unlike some associations representing patients, they do not accept funding from any vested interests, notably Government, NHS or commercial organisations. Nor do they involve anyone dependent on the health care service for employment or business.

To make sure that there are no conflicts of interest, Patient Concern has special advisers by invitation and supporters who contribute their time, expertise and experience free of charge. This facilitates a totally patient-orientated approach.

Patient Concern volunteers will do their best to answer individual patient queries by post.
