Bristol Community Links Central Drop In Service
Bristol Community Links Central Drop In is a service for adults with learning difficulties and is run by service users and support staff from Bristol City Council.
Peer support is not a traditional day centre (or resource and activities centre). There is no set timetable and service users only drop in when they want to.
Activities are generally arranged on a daily basis (except special events). As well as the resources in the building e.g. computers, pool, table tennis, table football, art and crafts, etc and they are encouraged to access as many community facilities and services as possible. There is a full time Internet connection with 5 computers connected to the Internet.
The experienced staff team also have good links with employment and further education agencies.
The service can be accessed via Social Services (community care assessment) and is also open to existing resource and activities centre users.
