Parenting Courses, Advice and Support – Bristol City Council

We run a range of parenting courses for parents of children aged 2 to 18 years old.

We have courses about:

  • young children
  • teenagers
  • children with challenging behaviour
  • teenagers with aggressive or abusive behaviour or who’ve been involved in the criminal justice system

See the full list of our parenting courses (pdf, 202KB) (opens new window) .

You’re welcome to join courses up to the second week, or third if the course starts with a taster session. If you’re too late to join a course that’s already started, you can sign up for the next course.

Contact your local Early Help Team at earlyhelpeastcentraladmin@bristol.gov.uk if you’re not sure which course is right for you.

Children’s centres and support

Children’s centres also offer parenting support for parents with children under 5.

You can use the school finder to find your local children’s centre. Click on ‘EarlyYears’ in ‘Find by type’, then your postcode in Find by postcode.
