Women’s Crisis House

Link House was set up by Missing Link in 2010 as the first crisis house in Bristol. It is an alternative to a psychiatric admission for women who are experiencing a mental health crisis who are unable to cope in the community. It houses up to 10 women and supports them for up to 4 weeks.

It is a spacious, welcoming house in the community and has a large sitting room, shared kitchen, laundry and dining room. It is staffed 24hrs per day, 7 days a week. Referrals can be made by all professionals including self referrals.

Link House provides safe, high quality support and has an emphasis on the immediate crisis while also focusing on building resilience, support networks and maintenance of good mental health on returning home. In addition to one to one support sessions, Link House offers daily activities and a twice weekly group work recovery programme.
