Carers Support, Bristol & South Gloucestershire Our mission is to promote the rights and improve the quality of life of children and adult family carers in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Our vision is to make sure carers are identified, recognised, valued, respected and supported in their caring role. Carers Support Centre is an independent registered charity, established in 1997. We have more than 12,000 local carers registered with us and deliver our services with 40 (full time equivalent) members of staff and over 170 volunteers. Our range of services includes a confidential telephone information and advice line, carers’ magazine, Carers Emergency Card, one-to-one casework support, carers’ groups, activities for carers to take time out, regular breaks and training courses. We also work to identify and support carers in hospital and GP settings through our health team and support carers to get into – and stay in – employment.
