About the service
Help When You Need It Service provides floating one-to-one support in the community to individuals aged 16+ within the area covered by Bristol City Council. We aim to make a positive difference in their lives.

We support people within the community to identify their strengths and work towards empowering them.
Our Support is based on values of recovery and social inclusion, and we have found that people who use our service become more independent, confident, and resilient.
The service uses a person-centered approach spending time to identify what you would like to work towards. We focus on smart goals at a pace that varies from person to person to improve their overall well-being.
