Bristol Disability Equality Forum are organising a series of regular accessible walks for Disabled people in local parks and nature areas. These are friendly and welcoming opportunities for Disabled people to make connections and experience time in nature.
Time spent in thriving wildlife-rich environments has been shown to benefit both mental and physical health. Helping to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and feelings of isolation.
Roll and Stroll walks are held on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday walks are shorter at 40 minutes and the Friday walks are longer at 2 hours. Participants are invited to bring a packed lunch or picnic to eat along the way, though there are refreshments available to buy at most locations.
