Time Capsule Project

Be part of history!

South Gloucestershire Council invite you to contribute to a time capsule, a collection of memories of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The capsule itself will be buried in front of the council offices at Badminton Road during a ceremony this spring to which a small number of community representatives will be invited.

They are asking local community organisations and voluntary groups which were formed in response to the pandemic, or refocused their usual work to support residents, to put forward items to be included in our capsule which reflect and remember various elements of the pandemic.

Did your organisation help with providing food deliveries? Shopping for vulnerable residents? Collecting medicine for people isolating?

The council would love to receive real objects, photographs, recordings, pictures, stories or poems from your group or those you have supported. You may wish to include examples of individuals who have gone above and beyond to help someone or their whole community during the past two difficult years or successes of your group in general.

Please send your contributions by Friday 25 March to:

Alexandra Dent

If you have any queries, please email strategiccommunications@southglos.gov.uk with the subject ‘Time capsule project’.

Please feel free to use the attached poster to promote the project to your group.
